I normally never write a negative review, but this is misleading. YOU CANNOT TAKE PICS THAT ARE EVEN CLOSE TO RECOGNITION.... True this app uses the camera, but to call a camera is incorrect... And no it does not do video as it leads you to believe. It is amusing and unique for about a minute... Then will never be used again.... Dont understand the positive comments unless the just have a dollar to throw away... If so please send them to me instead....lol

I just bought this app because it looked super cool and I could do a few videos with it. Granted, The camera worked but the video was not the best. TURNS OUT THERE IS NO SOUND ON VIDEOS!!!!! So If you just want to make cool wallpapers and pics thats fine. But I wouldnt recommend this app for video takers.

The kaleidoscope feature is amazing. I play with it every day and Im collecting patterns of such subtlety and complexity that I couldnt create on my own. The other features arent that interesting to me, but the kaleidoscope is stunning. Anyone with an artistic sensibility and love of pattern making will appreciate it. My only beef is I wish there was a choice about the number of kaleidoscope facets. At the moment it is based on a traditional 3 sided surface. It would be uber cool to be able to change the number of reflective surfaces, and create patterns with less emphasis on a triangular core. All in all, Thanks for the great app!

I enjoy it - its a fun and trippy app. Personally, yes, I think this is worth a dollar, but not everyone is going to agree with me on that one.

I thought i might get sth fun or artistic but this is like a joke dont download it

What would make Videoscope wonderful is the ability to leave the controls active, or allow a screen press to pause the view and then capture. Right now, by the time you struggle to activate the oh-so-tiny- on screen controls, the perfect image has passed and you get the second best.

I just started trying it out, using iPad photos and the front and back cameras. The camera/kaleidoscope feature is amazing and the patterns are lovely. Love this app; I highly recommend!

I love the concept of this app, esp. the ability to do video capture. However, you need to take the 30-second limit off, and the video capture is not high resolution when using the rear camera. Also, it would be nice if you would add more reflection options in the kaleidoscope filter. But for a dollar- hey, great start! Ill change the rating to five stars when you do an update that includes the suggested improvements.

Hey guys, your app does not work for the latest iOS 7. Only shows me my front facing camera and has no menus whatsoever. I clicked the screen everywhere and nothing ... This far its a 0...

I really love this app, even though it feels like it could be developed MUCH further. It could combine scope modes, for example. The kaleidoscope mode should have many more adjustable parameters, IMO. Ill email the developer, they seem cool.

I thought Id be able to create different variances & have more options - nope..not worth the 99¢. The kaleidoscope is too small to even see what it is. If you want a kaleidoscope video - check out the Video Star app

I bought this app to record video, but the footage is unusable in that its super low resolution. I wont have a use for this app.

the video is blurry and saves to my iPhone blurry. a waste of money

Used to like this one years ago, but it hasnt been updated. Low resolution photo & video output. Interface is old and small, not for iPhone 5 or 6.
